“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)
Dragon Slayer Classes
Our CMFA Dragon Slayer's program is based upon the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and incorporates physical, mental and spiritual goal setting components throughout. This self-defense program is primarily grappling based and does not allow striking. Self-defense training may become an extremely uplifting and enjoyable aspect of your child’s life and BJJ is an excellent art for developing young minds. It is a thorough workout with a strong cerebral aspect that will truly capture their imagination, while giving them confidence, knowledge, body-dexterity, and a fitness level that few people will ever achieve, and, it’s a lot of fun! Please connect with us before coming to a class - email crossroadsmfa@gmail.com or reach out to us on Instagram
Boxing and MMA Striking Classes
We are happy to offer different classes for striking. Our boxing classes will be co-ed (16+) with a focus on having fun, getting fit, and being in fellowship with like-minded believers - there will be no hard sparring. Our other striking classes will focus on MMA style sparring and grappling. Boxing gloves, hybrid or MMA-style gloves are a must have for these classes and shin guards for the MMA classes. We have a few pairs available to use at the gym but highly recommend bringing/getting your own. Please contact us for pricing of these items.
BJJ Gi and No-Gi Classes
BJJ will continue to be our main focus at the gym. We encourage all levels to come out and give it a try. Whether it's your first class or your 100th class, you'll leave feeling refreshed and with something new. If it is your first class, we will have a uniform for you to use until you can get your own, please speak with us about ordering one! We train Gi majority of the year, September to June. July and August we switched to straight no-gi training for all classes. Throughout the year, our Thursday night class is a dedicated no-gi MMA style class. Sparring gear is highly recommended.
